Lora Remacka graduated from Uppsala University, Sweden, with a Masters degree in Peace and Conflict Studies. Her fields of interest include environmental cooperation, peace education and conflict prevention.

Lora previously interned for the Swedish Agency for Peace Security and Development, in addition to undertaking education and training with the United Nations High Commission for Refugees. She has written for AgroWeb, an online portal aiming to increase environmental consciousness and sustainability awareness in Albania.

Recently Lora began a new position as an Urban Fellow Research Associate. The Toronto Urban Fellows program provides talented new professionals with an intensive introduction to the governance, operations and administration of Canada’s largest city. Urban Fellows make important contributions to the City of Toronto's policy and research agenda, provide fresh perspectives on complex issues, and undertake essential program development and evaluation activities. Currently, Lora has been placed with the Shelter Support and Housing Admiration division and is responsible for the development of the training component to the 2018 City of Toronto Street Needs Assessment.

Lora’s ambitions include working in a field that combines peace work, conflict prevention and sustainability dimensions.

As a Research Assistant with Sustainability Frontiers Canada, Lora will conduct method-driven desk research, both qualitative and quantitative as required for consulting projects. She is very interested in participating in fieldwork, conducting interviews and gathering data.
