WISE was launched by the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development in 2009. This annual three-day event is an international, multi-sectoral platform for creative thinking, debate and purposeful action. This year it brought together over 1200 thought-leaders, decision makers and practitioners from a variety of sectors, including education, business, politics, civil society and the media from more than 100 countries. The WISE 2012 theme was ‘collaborating for change.’
