Dublin City University Climate Change Education Events, 9 November 2016

David Selby and Fumiyo Kagawa of Sustainability Frontiers are participating in two climate change education events at Dublin City University (DCU) on 9 November 2016. From 15:30 to 17:50 they will co-facilitate a workshop with Rowan Oberman of the Centre for Human Rights and Citizenship (CHRCE), DCU Institute of Education, Classroom Approaches to Climate Change. The workshop explores creative methodologies for teaching and learning about climate change across the curriculum of both primary and secondary schools. The event is for teachers, teacher educators, development educators and others interested in climate change education.

The workshop will be followed by a forum, Campaign to Curriculum: Generating Engagement, Thinking and Action on Climate Change where, alongside David and Fumiyo, speakers will be Heather Maseko, former Assistant National Coordinator, Malawi Civil Society Network on Climate Change and Fionnuala Waldron, Chair, CHRCE. The forum, beginning at 18:00, will launch Creating Futures by Rowan Oberman, an educational resource inspiring inquiry, creativity and cooperation in response to climate change for senior primary classrooms.

Both events are hosted by CHRCE, the DRU Institute of Education, Global Schools and Trocaire. For more details go to: www.dcu.ie/chrce/news.shtml
